Wes Nelson has responded to claims that Megan Barton-Hanson “kidnapped” their hamster, Jon Snow, following their split.
Megan announced her split from her fellow Love Island star last Saturday and joked about their hamster in her statement, which was inspired by Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin’s split announcement.
It was later reported that the 24-year-old had “kidnapped” the pet while Wes was training for Dancing on Ice.
Last night Megan shared a video of Jon Snow on Instagram and wrote: “Missing my baby look at that chubby face!”
This morning the reality star finally addressed the claims and shared a screenshot of an article which was titled ‘Megan barton-Hanson DENIES kidnapping the hamster she co-parents with Wes Nelson’.
“No words ???? Jon is going to need his own PR at this rate,” she joked.
Just hours later Wes also spoke out about the claims, as he took to Instagram and said: “Can’t believe I’m actually addressing this ???? but no is not trues, after the burglary we gave the hamster to Megan’s mum to look after”.
The 20-year-old’s response comes shortly after he unfollowed his ex on Instagram and started following a number of Insta models.
The Love Island star still has his ‘Me & Megan’ highlight on the social media platform though, which shows up to fourteen snaps and videos of the former couple together.
