Seann Walsh has admitted that he “f***ed up”, after he was greeted by boos at his first comedy gig since starring on Strictly Come Dancing.
The 33-year-old caused controversy when he was caught kissing his dance partner Katya Jones on boozy night out in London, despite being in a long-term relationship with actress Rebecca Humphries.
On Monday night, the comedian was booed as he took to the stage at London’s Comedy Store, which prompted him to finally break his silence on the scandal.
During his nine-minute set, Seann insisted that his relationship with Rebecca was already “coming to an end”.
He told the audience: “F***ing hell. I only agreed to do it [Strictly] to get out of watching it. For f***’s sake.”
“I will tell you this and we will stop talking about it. But look, I don’t really need to explain myself but I will anyway. I was coming towards the end of my relationship, I was getting on with this girl.”
“You spend a lot of time with your dance partner on the show and we went for a drink and one thing led to the other. Most of you have seen the result.”
He added: “I actually started to think to myself, ‘Hang on, have I actually done anything that wrong?’”
After Seann and Katya’s kiss made front page news, Rebecca sensationally dumped the comic in a public statement on social media, and she won a lot of praise.
