Robbie Williams has been slammed online for asking transgender contestant, Felix Shephard, his birth name on The X Factor.
The X Factor judge received a huge amount of criticism online as fans deemed the question extremely inappropriate.
When Felix told the judges that he is transgender, Robbie asked: “So when you were born, what was your name?”
Negative comments about the father-of-three flooded social media as many considered his question to be “rude” and “disrespectful.”
Viewers felt that the question was also unnecessary, but Felix answered Robbie nonetheless.
Fans have taken to Twitter to show their anger towards the X Factor judge.

#XFactor felixs deadname did not even NEED to be mentioned. Robbie should NOT have asked that.

Robbie Williams asking a trans man all about his life BEFORE transitioning whilst he sits with his feet up on the desk is so gross and disrespectful. #XFactor is dead and finished.

The 20-year-old did not let the question affect his incredible performance though, as he sang an amazing rendition of Kodaline’s ‘All I Want’ and was praised by all four judges.
