Prince Phillip may not be able to attend Prince Harry’s wedding to Meghan Markle on the 19th of May.
Harry’s grandfather was reportedly one of the main reasons why the couple decided to wed so soon after they got engaged, so the Queen and Prince Phillip would be in good health for the occasion.
However, now it looks like Prince Phillip, unfortunately, might not be well enough to attend.
He has been in hospital resting up after a hip operation in the King Edward VII Hospital in London.
The Duke of Edinburgh is 96-years-old and Kensington Palace has not yet confirmed if he will be able to attend the wedding.
Marlene Koenig, a royal expert, told The Express, ”If Philip is confined to his room, I would expect he would watch the ceremony on TV—and, I would think, after the wedding, Harry would bring his new wife to see his grandfather and perhaps enjoy a piece of elderflower and lemon cake together.”
