Love Island star Sophie Gradon has been laid to rest in her hometown of Newcastle.

The former Miss Great Britain was found dead at her parent’s home two weeks ago, aged just 32.

After the funeral yesterday, the reality star’s boyfriend Aaron took to Instagram to pay an emotional tribute to Sophie.

Aaron shared a photo of the funeral’s order of service, alongside the caption, “I love you with all my heart my beautiful angel…”

“I’m absolutely heartbroken I can’t stop crying and I can feel your spirit in my soul… RIP Sophie Hannah Gradon.”

Sophie, who appeared on the popular ITV2 dating show Love Island back in 2016, had previously opened up about her battle with anxiety and depression.

In her last press interview in March, Sophie spoke at a cyber-bullying conference where she admitted, “Trolls leave you feeling vulnerable, unsafe and upset.”

She continued, “No one anticipated the show’s success and in an instant I was catapulted from every day life into the limelight. We became public property overnight and everyone had an opinion both good and bad.”

“On leaving the show I descended into quite a dark dark place owing to the amount of negativity focused towards me. There were positives and some lovely people but I would always let the negatives outweigh the positives.

“I started to believe what these people were saying about me was true. Online bullying is as destructive as face-to-face bullying, sometimes worse. Trolls leave you feeling vulnerable, unsafe and upset,” she added.

According to reports, Sophie’s death has been ruled as a suicide, as police have treated her passing as non-suspicious.
