Georgia Steel has claimed that she was urged to stay with Sam Bird, despite wanting to end their relationship.

The Love Island couple split in October, but Georgia has revealed that she wanted to end their relationship before then – but she feared their breakup would damage her career.

When asked if Love Island couples are pressured into staying together, Georgia said, “That is what happens when you come out. I definitely felt like that.”

“It wasn’t working, we were different people, but I really thought, ‘oh my God, people are only going to like me if we’re together’ because that’s what you’re renowned for.”

When asked if she had been urged to stay with Sam, Georgia admitted: “I was guided.”

Georgia is currently starring in Celebs Go Dating, alongside Made in Chelsea’s Sam Thompson, Kerry Katona and Megan McKenna.
