Liam Payne ‘in talks’ with Steven Spielberg over movie role

Looks like Liam is following in Harry Styles' footsteps!

Liam Payne is reportedly in talks with Steven Spielberg over a role in his remake of West Side Story.

The famed movie maker is finally set to direct the film next year, having spent the last 15 trying to obtain the rights for it.

West Side Story centres around two gangs – the Sharks and the Jets – and is loosely based on the plight of the Montagues and the Capulets in Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet.

A source told The Sun: “Liam was approached and was naturally flattered to be considered.”

“Casting agents have been ordered to find singers between the ages of 15 and 25 who can also dance, while also being able to deliver lines.

“Liam sees the opportunity to work with Spielberg as an exciting prospect and one too good to turn down.”

If he lands the gig, Liam will appear as a member of the Jets gang, and is set to show off his acting, and dancing, skills.

Liam will be following in the footsteps of his former 1D bandmates Harry Styles, who starred in Christopher Nolan’s blockbuster hit Dunkirk.
