Jonathan Ross revealed that his “loving, glamorous, thoughtful” mother has died.
The presenter shared a heartfelt tribute to his mother, Martha, who was an actress on Eastenders for over twenty years.
“Today, my Family and I will gather to say goodbye to our Mum, Grandma, Great-Grandma. Martha. A wonderful, loving, glamorous, thoughtful, vivacious woman,” the 58-year-old tweeted.

Many fans and friends responded to Jonathan’s tweet with messages of support, as Martha’s former Eastenders co-star, Shane Richie recalled a fond memory of actress: “What a lady, what a bloody great lady..i remember how nervous I was on my very 1st day on Albert sq back in 2002 and she just held my hand ….she had a heart bigger than any fictional market…thank you Martha”.
The presenter also responded to one fan who said: “i lost my mum nearly 3 years ago, I miss her so much. I have been a fan of yours since the last resort on channel 4, and I know how proud she was of you and paul. im sorry for your loss love to all the family xxx”.
“Thanks. Although she would have corrected you by saying “I’m proud of ALL my children,”” Jonathan replied.
