Gemma collins has appeared to confirm she will take part in this year’s Celebrity Apprentice.
The TOWIE star, who is currently soaking up the sun with beau James Argent, took to social media to share the news.
Gemma shared a screen grab of a headline from The Sun, which read, “Gemma Collins is ‘top choice’ to star in Celebrity Apprentice as show makes a comeback after 10 years.”
The reality star wrote, “This will be Hilarious 😂.”
According to the Daily Star, BBC bosses plan to revive the spin-off version of The Apprentice for a new series in 2019.
A source said, “It feels like the right time to bring it back. It’s been 10 years since it last aired, but The Apprentice is still a popular show with a strong format. Top brass at the BBC all agreed it would be great to have the celeb version back on screen.”
An insider added, “Gemma’s scared of Alan Sugar and doesn’t want to be made to look like a fool but she is considering it.”
“Producers only want one reality name on the show and Gemma was the BBC’s top choice as they know she will bring the fun and humour element as well as having a massive social media influence to promote the show.”
Filming is due to start later this year, before it airs early next year.
The reality star previously took part in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! and most recently, in scenes yet to air, Living With Lucy.
