Caroline Flack is reportedly “terrified” of losing her career after an alleged domestic incident.
The 40-year-old was accused of attacking her boyfriend Lewis Burton over the weekend at her home in Islington, London.
The TV star is due to begin filming for the new winter edition of Love Island in the new year.
“Caroline’s terrified she’ll never work in TV again,” a friend alleged to The Daily Mirror.
A TV source continued: “The timing couldn’t be worse.”
“Caroline was due to fly New Year’s Day, with the show starting a week later, but now it’s been thrown into chaos.”
“No one knows what will happen so bosses are drawing up contingency plans.”
Irish stars Laura Whitmore and Maura Higgins are tipped to be in the running to replace Caroline.
However, Aftersun star Maya Jama is the favourite to take up the Love Island presenting helm.
