Love Island star Georgia admits her controversial kiss with Jack WAS filmed twice

The Islander has spilled some major show secrets since leaving the villa

Love Island star Georgia Steel has admitted that her controversial kiss with Jack Fowler WAS filmed twice.

After choosing to leave the villa with her beau Sam Bird in last night’s episode, Georgia has spilled some show secrets that will shock fans.

The 20-year-old caused controversy in the villa when she kissed newcomer Jack, who was coupled up with Laura Anderson at the time.

However, once word of their kiss spread around the villa, Jack accused Georgia of planting the kiss on him – whereas Georgia insisted that their smooch was mutual.

Kiss-gate reached new heights when the scene was replayed on spin-off show Aftersun from a different angle – but fans noticed continuity errors, which led people to believe that the kiss was filmed twice.

And finally after leaving the villa, Georgia has admitted that they did shoot that kissing scene more than once.

She told the MailOnline, “There was so much going on in the day I didn’t really know what was going on at that time I just kind of do what I wanna do and they get different angles.”

“I honestly don’t remember. I have no idea because there’s so much going on then I’m just focusing on how many times I’ve gotta do whatever I’ve gotta do. Was it more than twice? Yeah,” she admitted.

And in an interview with The Sun, Georgia said, “When I watched it I absolutely cringed because that is not me. At the end of the day I had a few drinks, I was sat there chatting to Jack and the conversation flowed.”

“My toes curled when I watched it. If I watched that before going back to the villa then I would have said to Laura ‘look I got a bit excited’ but that wasn’t the case.”

“I do feel bad. I didn’t tell Laura exactly what happened but we all make mistakes, it was only a kiss. But I don’t feel bad for Jack – it takes two to tango, he didn’t have to kiss me but he did.”

In an attempt to defend the show, Georgia told MailOnline, “At the end of the day it’s a television programme but if anyone was real it that villa it’s me and I was completely how I am, I did what I feel.”

“It is a TV programme, things have to get filmed in different angles to get put on television, that’s how television works. But, nothing is fake, nothing is said that is staged, it’s all to do with how you feel.”

Looking back on the situation, Georgia still believes she was a “loyal” friend to Laura.

She said, “I’m a loyal friend and I feel like the Jack situation. I did speak to Laura before going on the date which I did choose to do, and I didn’t have to do that but I wanted Laura to know exactly how I was feeling.”

“But at the end of the day, it was Love Island, I’m in there to find love and I’m not gonna beat around the bush, I’m gonna do what I wanna do.

“And I needed someone to make me laugh in the moment, and the only boys who were making me laugh at that time were Jack and Sam, so that’s how that came about,” she added.

In last night’s episode, Georgia chose to leave the show with her beau Sam Bird, after the pair were forced to split earlier this week in order to stay in the villa.
