Kerry Katona has given her opinion on Philip Schofield amid rumours of an “ITV civil war.”
According to claims, a number of ITV staff have complained about Philip within the organisation. The Sun claims that This Morning’s Friday presenter Ruth Langsford has made an official complaint against Philip.
They also allege that Holly’s relationship with Philip has become strained in recent months.
Kerry spoke to The Sun about her experiences on the show, opening up about her infamous 2008 This Morning interview in which many viewers speculated that she was drunk.
However, the star claims that her then newly prescribed medication was to blame for her slurred speech and difficulty structuring sentences.
“Everyone thought I was pissed – which I wasn’t – and ever since it’s been harder to get work as people see me as liability,” she said.
“When you’re the king of ITV you can get away with anything – yet people think I’m pissed on the show and it nearly ruins my career. Funny that.”
Referring to an episode of This Morning which showed Philip and Holly donning their clothing from the night before and referencing being hungover due to their heavy night at the The National Television Awards, she said:
“So you can imagine how upsetting I find it when Holly and Phil come on the show hungover the morning after the NTAs – one time Holly had a stain down her dress and Phil was still in his suit – and everyone celebrates it like it’s the funniest thing in the world.”
“That to me just screams double standards.”
