It’s the news that will split opinion – but Ant McPartlin WILL be replaced on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.
After Ant formally confirmed he won’t be returning for the next series, many hoped that co-host Declan Donnelly would host the show alone.
TV producers have said they haven’t confirmed the new host yet, but rumours have been rampant that UK’s golden girl Holly Willoughby could be taking Ant’s position.
There has also been whispers that former jungle queen Scarlett Moffat could also get the gig.
“We’ll find someone to stand by [Dec’s] side,” TV bosses said of the move.
“The good news is [Ant is] doing well; he’s doing everything he should be doing to get better.
“We collectively thought let’s give it a good enough time off because this thing is a slow procedure so that’s what we’ve decided to do. He’s not going to go to the jungle but Dec is, we’ll find someone to go with Dec. He’ll do it with somebody.”
Ant has been recovering since entering rehab after he relapsed and was arrested for drinking under the influence.
