Big Brother is currently investigating housemate, Ellis Hillon, after alleged racist tweets have resurfaced.

The tweets were reportedly on an account which was deleted just a few hours after the housemate entered Big Brother.

Ellis’ sister created a new account for the 20-year-old and tweeted: “There were no bad tweets!!! People just talk absolute rubbish and make fake things up. There will be no negativity here and my sister will shine. Good night!!!!”

The tweets in question were reportedly posted in 2014, when Ellis was 15-years-old.

The teenager allegedly tweeted: “Oh f**k aye its 9/11!! RIP to everyone who died n f**k they smelly p**i terrorist bastards!!!”

In 2015, the Big Brother contestant also tweeted: “Real n****s #sbo.”

A spokesperson for Channel 5 told Metro.co.uk: “We are currently investigating the authenticity of a number of historic social media posts.”
