Xpose's Glenda Gilson: 'TV3 is most fertile place in Ireland… I just hope I'm not next'

Glenda Gilson has called TV3 the most “fertile place in Ireland” after Karen Koster announced her pregnancy.

But the Xpose presenter told Goss.ie she is hoping not to be the next star in Ballymount to get pregnant – instead hoping colleague Aisling O’Loughlin has another baby.

“I’m so excited for Karen. It’s going to be sad without her when she goes off on maternity leave, but it’s great news for her – and she’s over the moon so I’m absolutely thrilled for her,” she said.

“You never know who is going to be next in TV3 now Karen is pregnant, hopefully not me.

“You never know – Aisling could decide to have another one. Look, Michelle came in to cover for six months and she got pregnant. It’s the most fertile place in Ireland.”

Meanwhile Glenda is getting all ready for her upcoming wedding to Rob McNaughton in eight weeks’ time at Doonbeg Resort in Co. Clare, owned by Donald Trump.

And the US tycoon has already promised to make sure everything is perfect for the big day on August 29.

She said: “Donald has been great and he has told me that the hotel will be in tip-top condition for my big day.”

But Glenda admitted she can now finally enjoy the time before the wedding – after the immense stress that went into planning it.

“It’s been hectic, but it’s kind of all done now. I have eight weeks to go – so time is ticking,” she said.

“It is incredibly exciting that it is so close, and it’s kind of getting to the good part now because everything is done.

“Over the last few months, trying to work and arrange to meet people was pretty tough but now what will be will be and I’m looking forward to the day now.
