Westlife ‘to perform on Dancing with the Stars Final’ for first Irish performance since comeback

Westlife are reportedly going to perform on the Dancing with the Stars final for their first Irish performance since their comeback.

The boyband have performed their new single, ‘Hello My Love’ on The Graham Norton Show and at the National Television Awards, but have yet to carry out an Irish performance since their reunion.

According to The Sun, the foursome are set to perform at the final of Dancing with the Stars next month, as Nicky Byrne co-hosts the RTÉ show alongside Jenny Zamparelli.

“Nicky didn’t want to throw that all away when Westlife reformed. A career in pop can be very short, even if Westlife’s reunion has gone through the roof,” a source told the publication.

“So Nicky remains committed to DWTS, and has even compromised some of Westlife’s international promo so he could be back in Dublin each weekend to host DWTS — even coming from the Far East.”

“With the collapse in record sales, it’s very hard for big artists to justify coming over and doing TV shows in Ireland. Thankfully now, the record companies are coming to us with well-known names and we can pick and choose,” they added.

“It’s a win-win because we’re delighted to give them one of the biggest platforms to reach an audience on Irish TV.”

Last night’s show saw Peter Stringer being eliminated from the competition, as six celebs are remaining.
