Golf star Rory McIlroy has proved he’s still friends with his childhood sweetheart ex Holly Sweeney.
The former world No 1 had been in a relationship with the Celebrity Come Dine With Me star for six years.
Following their split Holly admitted she was left devastated and shocked at being dumped for Caroline Wozniacki.
However that is all water under the bridge – as Rory came to meet Holly, her newborn son Max and her new boyfriend Jeff Mason with a little gift.

He said: “Brought my little buddy Max his first pair of Nikes last night! Great seeing you guys.”
Sources revealed that Rory and Holly are still in contact and have a much less frostier relationship now.
They were able to meet up while Rory was home to open the Daisy Lodge therapeutic short-break centre for children with cancer, which he donated €1 million towards.
Previously Rory said he was delighted that Holly was pregnant.

Following their split, Holly said she was left heartbroken and had to run away from the pain.
She said: “It killed me – that’s why I went away to Dubai as soon as we split up, so I didn’t have to look or think about it.
“But when you’re on a beach with nothing to take your mind off things, it still crops up.
“So you couldn’t get away from it no matter what you did, it was still all over Twitter as well. So even if I was trying to take my mind off it, it still snuck its way back in.”
