Ronan Keating has revealed how he dreamed of being an Olympic sprinter – not a pop star.
The Boyzone singer admitted his main dream in life was to be an athlete before getting his break with Louis Walsh’s band.
“I was a sprinter – a 200m runner – so I always wanted to be on the Irish Olympics team and be an athlete like my brother before me,” he said. “I was running pretty much up until I got into Boyzone.”

But Ronan – who is now dating Australian Storm Uechritz – told last year how he hadn’t given up on running as it helped him get fit for Boyzone’s tour.
“I’m in three or four days a week – I’m training and I’m running every day to get ready for the tour,” he explained.
“It’s not easy to sing and dance and move around on the stage like we do – we’re not kids anymore. You have to get match fit, y’know?”
Last week, Ronan told how he was hoping to be able to marry Storm at some point.
