Panti Bliss has been shortlisted for Time magazine’s worldwide Top 100 list.
Every year, the magazine publishes a prestigious list of the Top 100 most influential people in the world – and Panti’s in the running to making the final cut.
Time describes Panti as a “global champion for equality” and “one of Ireland’s most prominent advocates for LGBT rights”, they also referenced that Ireland’s Yes vote for Marriage Equality in May last year was “historic”.

The LGBT rights activist, who’s real name is Rory O’Neill, is among 127 public figures from around the world selected by magazine.
In the voting polls, Panti is currently ahead of the likes of Mark Zuckerburg, Adele and JK Rowling.
However, the final list is determined by the editors of the magazine and is due to be announced next month, but the results of the public poll will also be published.
