Miriam has not expressed any interest in running for President, although sources claim that the Prime Time presenter has long been interested in a political career.

“There’s been an increasing number of reports linking Miriam with a run for presidency and our punters have certainly taken notice,” Paddy Power spokesman Feilim Mac An Iomaire told the Irish Daily Mirror.

“I never even said anything in my life about running for president,” Miriam said.

“Who knows what anyone’s going to do in two or three years time? It’s miles down the road.”
