Liam Cunningham has admitted to dealing with financial troubles, while urging the people of Ireland to help Syrian refugees.
The Game of Thrones actor was speaking about a recent trip to Jordan  where he was left feeling incredibly “angry” because he believed refugees aren’t being helped enough – especially by the Irish government.
Speaking on the Late Late Show, Ryan Tubridy told the star he would face criticism because people see him as extremely wealthy thanks to his career – but Liam set the record straight.
Troubles: Liam has had financial difficultiesÂ
“First of all, because of my financial stupidity, I got myself in terrible trouble with the tax man about ten years ago.
“For the last number of years I’ve been looking at red on my bank account, it’s only recently gone black.
“I’ve a ten year old car and I’m living in the same house I’ve been living in for the last 30 years, so they can go and shite,” he said.
“It won’t be the last time (I chase my tail), you don’t stay up there. My game is up and down, you can be in a 5-star hotel yesterday, and in a B&B tomorrow,” he added.
