Jennifer Zamparelli has revealed that she’ll earn the same as her Dancing With The Stars co-host Nicky Byrne.
After the RTÉ star’s new role was confirmed on Tuesday, the mother-of-two has insisted that the gender pay gap won’t be an issue for her on DWTS, as it was always a “given” that she would be paid the same as her male co-presenter.
Speaking to the Irish Sun, Jennifer said: “You are entering into a partnership with somebody whether they are male or female.”
“I think honesty with your partner in that business relationship is vital if you don’t want that communication to break down.”
Jennifer also revealed that the same goes for her Breakfast Republic show on RTÉ2fm, which she hosts alongside Bernard O’Shea and Keith Walsh.
She said: “It was just a given with the lads that, five years ago when we started, we were all going to be equally paid, and it was openly discussed before we got our contracts — fortunately for me and for them.”
