James Kavanagh pays tribute to friend who lost their life in Manchester attack

James Kavanagh has paid tribute to his friend who lost his life in the devastating Manchester bombing.

The Snapchat star took to Facebook to share a photo of him and his friend Martyn who attended the traumatic Ariana Grande concert.

He wrote, “The world has lost one of its most hilarious and iconic people. From the moment we met, I knew I struck gold in the friend department.

“I was instantly in love with him & his equally iconic and beautiful other half, Russell.”

When Martyn was still missing, James took to Snapchat to deliver an emotional message on how it felt to have a friend missing.

He said on his story, “The truth is my friend Martyn Hett is still missing from last night, he was at the concert and he’s still missing.

“I basically didn’t sleep at all last night, this morning I kept just randomly crying with anxiousness.

“There’s physically nothing I can do. I’m just constantly checking Twitter, checking in with his friends.”

He then uploaded a photo of him and Martyn together writing, “Martyn didn’t make it. I’ll forever adore you. You absolute icon.”
