Watch out Ryan Tubridy – Simon Delany has revealed he would love to host his own chat show in Ireland.
The TV star is a big fan of American talk shows like David Letterman and told Goss.ie he has spoken to RTE already about hosting a similar show.
“(The idea) has been mooted before about doing stuff on RTE. Never say never,” he said.

“I’m a big fan of that format in terms of Letterman, Jay  Leno, that kind of stuff. Whether there’s room for that here, I don’t know.”
Simon also admitted that he doesn’t think it makes a difference who will host The Late Late Show after Ryan Tubridy – as the show is more important than the presenter.
“I think it’s a format that RTE have stuck with since Gaybo. The Late Late Show is an institution now.”
“I don’t think it would make any difference who presented it, I think that’s the key to a successful show, is that the show is the star, not the host.”

Meanwhile The Good Wife star opened up about his acting career and revealed he would move his family to America “in a heartbeat” for the right role.
“I would bring my family with me. I love the States. I love the attitude, if you have any get up and go they will do everything they can to help you make it,” he told Goss.ie.
“Whereas here, you’re on your own. There’s a different vibe here, particularly in my business.”
