Eoghan McDermott has claimed he won’t be getting paid by RTE this month, but later admitted he will be paid after all.
The radio presenter announced on his 2FM show that there had been a “mistake” on his Invoice, and since pay day is tomorrow, he won’t be getting paid until next month.
The Knocklyon star, who is a contractor with the station and therefore a sole trader, not an employee, joked that he wants to “set up a Trocaire box within RTE.”
His show is also running a competition to give away Sea Session tickets, and he joked again: “Can I take them and sell them?”.
After taking a commercial break, Eoghan admitted his producer told him “not to air” his “dirty laundry”, to which Eoghan replied: “air it? I’m not going a month without getting paid, pay me.”
When contacted by Goss.ie, RTE said they won’t be commenting.
