Donal Skehan opens up on married life

He tied knot in the summer and now Donal Skehan has opened up about his married life.

The Dubliner, who walked down the aisle with his Swedish long-term love Sofie, admitted nothing has really changed since becoming man and wife

“Married life is good. We’ve been together for 10 years so nothing much has changed,” he said.

“We still kill each other, we still love each other and everything’s alright.”

Speaking to Stephen Byrne on 2fm’s Breakfast Republic, the TV chef opened up about swapping screens and becoming a YouTube star.

“I started a channel the start of last year and we grew from 5,000 to over quarter of a million subscribers and it’s just taken off that so much so my main focus is YouTube,” he admitted.

“Now all of a sudden all the TV and the books are almost the side of what we do and there’s big business to it, there’s a huge community involved to it.”

The Howth native revealed he is so taken by the video platform he’s recorded a documentary for RTE about it.

“It’s really exciting so we’ve actually shot a documentary for RTE 2 Reality Bites,” he admitted.
