Everyone is saying the same thing about Zendaya’s new movie Challengers

Film fanatics have been rushing to the cinema to see Challengers, which has already been dubbed one of the best films of the year.

The film effectively blends sex and sport as the love triangle between the stars takes place on the backdrop of the tennis court.

The intense tennis drama from Luca Guadagnino, who directed Call Me By Your Name, stars Zendaya, Josh O’Connor and Mike Faist.

The film follows former tennis prodigy turned coach Tashi, played by Zendaya, as she attempts to end her husband Art’s, played by Mike Faist, losing streak.

Her plan to do so leads them to take part in a low-level challenger tennis tournament to build the champion’s confidence back up.

It takes a surprising turn when he ends up in the final opposite Patrick, played by Josh O’Connor – Art’s former best friend and Tashi’s ex-boyfriend.

Warner Bros said about the film: “As their pasts and presents collide, and tensions run high, Tashi must ask herself, what will it cost to win.”

The final tennis match between Art and Patrick is intercut between moments in the trio’s relationship with each other beginning 13 years before.

Throughout the film, we see the rivals compete to win not just on the court but also for Tashi’s affection.

A decision has to be made by the tennis coach as to who she will pick – Art, Patrick or tennis.

After months of anticipation, and a highly publicised press tour, the film was released in cinemas last Friday, April 26th.

Since its release, fans have taken to social media to rave about the film, however, one particular element has caught the most attention – the soundtrack.

Viewers have expressed their love for the movie’s catchy soundtrack online, which can be found on Spotify here.
