Susan Sarandon was arrested at an anti-Trump protest in Washington on Thursday.
The actress was among the 575 women charged and released, after they staged a sit-in protest against Donald Trump’s zero-tolerance immigration policy inside a Senate office at the Department of Justice.
Protesters demanded an end to immigration camps, and declared, “We care” – referring to the controversial jacket worn by first lady Melania Trump last week.

The 71-year-old shared photos and videos from the protest, but later revealed that she and hundred of other women were arrested.
She tweeted, “Arrested. Stay strong. Keep fighting. #WomenDisobey”
During the sit-in, protesters chanted, “What do we want? Free families!” and “This is what democracy looks like.”
The hundreds of women also wore foil blankets for the sit-in, like those worn by children separated from their parents at the US-Mexico border.
