R. Kelly’s girlfriend, Azriel Clary has claimed that her parents made her take sexual videos with the singer to blackmail him in the future.
Just one day after the 52-year-old’s CBS interview with Gayle King was released, another interview with Kelly’s two girlfriends was shown.
Azriel, who is 21-years-old and Joycelyn Savage, 23, defended the singer and claimed that their parents “are out here just to get money.”
When asked why Azriel’s parents would lie about her situation with Kelly, the 21-year-old said: “When I first met Robert my parents told me to lie about my age, so when I met him he thought that I was 18.”
“On top of that when I was 17 my parents were actually making me, trying to get me to take photos with him, take sexual videos with him, all kinds of stuff,” she claimed
“They said if they ever have to blackmail him, what they are trying to do now, they can use it against him which is exactly what they are doing.”
When Joycelyn was asked why she was “nodding in agreement” with Azriel, the 23-year-old said: “Because everything that she is saying is true.”
“Basically both of our parents are out here basically trying to get money and scam because they didn’t agree with what happened, you know, with music or where we could be. They’re just very upset.”
Azriel then claimed that her parents “sent threats” to both her and Kelly: “They said ‘I’ll put all your naked picture all over the world. I’m going to ruin you, I’m going to ruin him.”
She alleged that her parents demanded money from the singer and broke down crying before she said: “I’m crying because you guys don’t know the truth. You guys are believing in some f**king facade that our parents are saying.”
Azriel and Joycelyn’s parents have denied their daughters’ claims and think that the two women are “brainwashed.”
Gayle later said that R. Kelly’s team agreed for him not to be in the room during the women’s interview, but that he entered the room and coughed loudly after the interview started.
Last month R. Kelly pled not guilty to ten accounts of aggravated sexual abuse and was released on bail.
