Priyanka Chopra praises Meghan Markle’s charity work in touching post

The pair have been friends for years

Priyanka Chopra has praised her pal Meghan Markle’s charity work in a touching post on Instagram.

The Duchess of Sussex is helping raise funds for the Hubb Community Kitchen by releasing a charity cookbook titled ‘Together: Our Community Kitchen’.

Taking to Instagram, Priyanka shared a snap of the cookbook’s front cover, which features a picture of Meghan.

She wrote: “So proud of you for this new endeavor, Meghan. This is everything you always stood for. Women supporting women… supporting communities, bringing togetherness. Here you do it again… Keep making the world smile babe.”

The cookbook boasts over 50 recipes compiled by the women from the Grenfell community, who work at the Hubb Community Kitchen in London.

Volunteers at the community kitchen belong to the families whose lives were affected by the devastating Grenfell Tower fire back in 2017.

The news comes after Kensington Palace announced Meghan’s involvement on Twitter.

The tweeted: “The Duchess of Sussex first visited the kitchen in January, and has continued to make regular private visits… The Duchess was inspired by how the project empowers women at a grassroots level.”

In a video shared on the Royal Family’s official YouTube channel, Meghan can be seen cooking with the women of the Hubb Community Kitchen.

In the clip, Meghan can be heard saying: “I immediately felt connected to this community kitchen. Like these women I’m passionate about food and cooking as a way of strengthening communities.”
