All I Want For Christmas Is You still reigns as one of the most popular festive songs 22 years after its release.
And now the Mariah Carey hit is being turned into an animated Christmas movie due for release later this year.
The singer announced the news with a video on social media, which showed her curled up on the sofa in her pyjamas with her dog.

“I am thrilled to be able to bring the story of my favorite Christmas song to new generations of families with my upcoming new animated movie, Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas Is You,” she wrote. “You’re the first to hear about this exciting news!”
Mariah is set to narrate the movie that expands upon the children’s book of the same name she released in 2015.
The story follows a young Mariah who decides all she wants for Christmas is a puppy named Princess, but first of all she must look after a very naughty dog named Jack who causes problems as Mariah’s family get ready for Christmas.
Henry Winkler, Lacey Chabert (who filmed Hallmark movie A Christmas Melody with Mariah), Phil Morris, Laya Hayes and Keiko Agena will be voicing characters in the Guy Vasilovich-directed film.
