Justin Bieber got slammed for his April Fool’s prank, in which he tricked fans into thinking that he was expecting a baby with Hailey Baldwin.
The singer shared a picture of an ultrasound on Instagram, before he posted another picture of Hailey with ‘doctors’ around her and captioned the photo: “If U thought it was April fools”.
The 25-year-old later revealed that it was just a prank and shared another photo of an ultrasound, but a puppy photoshopped into it.
Justin received mixed reactions from fans though, as some criticised him for joking about pregnancy and others thought his April Fool’s was funny.
“Justin Bieber faking Hailey being pregnant is… gross & insensitive,” one follower tweeted.
“Justin Bieber lying about Hailey being pregnant is beyond disrespectful. 1 in 4 women suffer from infertility, miscarriages, still born babies. How f***ing disrespectful, April fools or not, fake pregnancy announcements are f***ing disgusting. Are we still doing this in 2019?” another wrote.
“Don’t get me wrong, many of you know I have loved Justin Bieber for years. But him joking on Instagram that his wife is pregnant is insanely insensitive and tasteless given his platform and how many women struggle with fertility. Grow up.”

Don’t get me wrong, many of you know I have loved Justin Bieber for years. But him joking on Instagram that his wife is pregnant is insanely insensitive and tasteless given his platform and how many women struggle with fertility.

Others defended the singer and one fan tweeted: “so wait lemme get this right… y‘all can joke daily about Justin Bieber‘s depression, mental health, anxiety, past issues, looks etc. but once he does an April fool about pregnancy y‘all suddenly get all sensitive and woke? nah i‘m out of here y‘all are literally TRASH bye”.
