Heartbreaking 911 call from Mac Miller’s friend has been released

The rapper's friend begged emergency services to "hurry"

A heartbreaking 911 call made by Mac Miller’s friend has been released.

TMZ published the tape, which is heavily redacted, and it features a male voice begging emergency services to “please hurry” after finding Mac unresponsive in his bedroom.

The man is heard bursting into tears, as he tells the dispatcher that he was only talking to Mac “yesterday”.

The 911 call was released after it was reported that the rapper had passed away hours before he was found on Friday morning.

Law enforcement sources have told TMZ that Mac was dead long before emergency services arrived at his home in Studio City.

Now, there’s a “spotlight” on a party that took place at Mac’s home the night before he was found dead.

According to reports, Mac had friends over the night before he died, and they stayed until the early hours of Friday morning, September 7.

Sources have also told TMZ that only a tiny amount of white powder was found when law enforcement searched the home, leading them to believe that the house was swept clean to hide evidence of drug use.

Police have said that no one has come forward claiming they saw Mac alive after Thursday night.

According to the death certificate, Mac’s cause of death is yet to be determined. The Coroner is awaiting toxicology results, which typically take 4 to 6 weeks.

A statement from Mac’s family last week said: “Malcolm McCormick, known and adored by fans as Mac Miller, has tragically passed away at the age of 26.”

“He was a bright light in this world for his family, friends and fans. Thank you for your prayers. Please respect our privacy. There are no further details as to the cause of his death at this time.”
