John Legend has announced that he’s been cast as Jesus Christ in NBC’s 2018 live production of Jesus Christ Superstar.
The singer announced his exciting news on Twitter, but not without his wife Chrissy Teigen cracking a hilarious joke about his casting.
Replying to his tweet, Chrissy asked, “How are they gonna fit u in the manger?”
However, John had the perfect response, writing, “One of the many baby John Legends will be in the manger.”

John was referencing the many photos he’s sent of fans’ babies who resemble him.
In fact, one of John’s baby doppelgangers went viral in July, which eventually led to Chrissy begging her followers to stop sending her pictures of babies who look like John.
“For the LAST TIME, JOHN looks like a baby so A LOT OF BABIES LOOK LIKE HIM STOP SENDING ME JOHN BABIES,” she tweeted at the time.
