Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin have opened up about their marriage – after they got married in secret in September 2018.
Posing together as a married couple for their first Vogue shoot, Hailey admitted marriage has already been hard.
“The thing is, marriage is very hard. That is the sentence you should lead with. It’s really effing hard.”
The couple dated three years ago and the model revealed that:
“Negative things happened that we still need to talk about and work through.”
She continued: “Fizzled would not be the right word—it was more like a very dramatic excommunication.
“There was a period where if I walked into a room, he would walk out,” she explained.
Meanwhile, Justin revealed for the first time that he was very depressed during his world tour.
“I got really depressed on tour. I haven’t talked about this, and I’m still processing so much stuff that I haven’t talked about.”
“It’s been so hard for me to trust people, I’ve struggled with the feeling that people are using me or aren’t really there for me, and that writers are looking to get something out of me and then use it against me.”
The 24-year-old also admitted he was very “promiscuous” in the past and said he used to rely on Xanax.
“I found myself doing things that I was so ashamed of, being super-promiscuous and stuff, and I think I used Xanax because I was so ashamed.”
In a shocking admission, the Canadian even said his security thought he was dead on multiple occasions.
“It got pretty dark. I think there were times when my security was coming in late at night to check my pulse and see if I was still breathing.”
