Domhnall Gleeson has revealed that he hasn’t been invited to the Golden Globes, despite his latest film The Revenant being up for four awards.
The flame-haired star and his co-star Will Poulter admitted their snubbing during an interview on US morning show Today, when host Natalie Morales asked them if they’d be attending the awards show this Sunday.
After a few awkward moments of silence, Will answered, “I don’t think so.. Potentially,” before Domhnall made the situation pretty clear by saying, “the deathly silence suggests that maybe we haven’t been invited!”

In typical Irish humour, Domhnall brushed the snubbing off by adding, “Thank you for bringing it up! We’re not gonna be at the Golden Globes. We’re gonna watch at home!”
Domhnall stars in The Revenant alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy and the film has been nominated to numerous awards including four Golden Globes nominations.
Leonardo DiCaprio has been nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture -Drama for his role in The Revenant, the film has also been nominated for Best Motion Picture – Drama.

The movie’s director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu is up for Best Director and Ryuichi Sakamoto and Carsten Nicolai vie are up for Best Original Score.
Despite Domhnall not being invited to the Globes, his fellow actor and actress pals Michael Fassbender and Saoirse Ronan are both up for Best Lead awards this Sunday.Â
