Tom Parker broke down in tears as he opened up about his cancer diagnosis in an emotional documentary.
This time last year, the Wanted star told his fans he had been diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour.
In June this year, the singer then revealed he and his wife Kelsey had been working on a documentary about his cancer battle, which aired on Channel 4 on Sunday night.

In the documentary ‘Inside My Head’, Tom got emotional as he spoke about his diagnosis, saying: “Scared is probably an understatement to say the least, yeah I was absolutely petrified.”
“It’s so hard to think about the future, I don’t want to know. I don’t think you know how you feel about death until you’re faced with it. Am I going to die? That’s the most important question… I want to stick around – and be the best version I can!”
Tom’s wife Kelsey said: “Life has just been so hard watching my husband go through this. You just want to be there for him and do it for him.”
“I feel like he’s slowly becoming himself again, but it’s just going to take a bit of time for him to digest everything that’s happened to him.”
Since his diagnosis, Tom has undergone 30 radiotherapy sessions and six rounds of chemotherapy.
While the treatment has enhanced his chance of prolonging his life, the 33-year-old has admitted that the grueling sessions have left him unable to “walk around the kitchen”.
In a hopeful update shared in last night’s documentary, a scan revealed Tom’s tumour had shrunk.
It also followed Tom as he prepared to reunite with his bandmates from The Wanted for a special concert at The Royal Albert Hall in aid of Stand Up To Cancer.
Viewers took to Twitter after watching the emotional documentary, with many praising Tom for his positive outlook in spite of his diagnosis.
Former Strictly Come Dancing star James Jordan wrote: “Anyone else watching Tom Parker Inside my Head ? What a wonderful man and family with such a positive outlook on life in the darkest of times It’s a horrific disease and I think he’s an amazing human to raise more awareness to the same cancer that took my hero – DAD.”
Another viewer tweeted: “watching Tom Parker’s – Inside My Head documentary. This man’s bravery and strength is something to be admired. Hard to keep a dry eye when watching it. I wasn’t planning to watch this before but I’m glad I did. Hope he continues to recover.”

I am struggling to watch Tom Parker inside my head. I lost my brave wonderful Dad to grade 4 glioblastoma in June this year. He fought and fought and tried every treatment offered to him but the cancer took him away from us. Keep going Tom and try everything you can.
