Simon Cowell reveals he is in talks with Netflix to screen hit talent shows

Simon Cowell has revealed that he is in talks with Netflix to screen some of his hit talent shows such as The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent.

The producer recently announced that he is planning to release brand new versions of the two programmes, including a celebrity version and a series with past winners.

It looks like Simon is planning some other huge changes to the talent shows, as he told the Mail on Sunday that he is in talks with several other production companies, after working with ITV for over fifteen years.

“We are having conversations with Netflix and Amazon and YouTube – all of them,” he revealed.

“It was 2000 when we started making these shows, and now there are many, many more opportunities, so we are going to be working with them.”

“We get four or five calls a year from other broadcasters saying, ‘do you want to do a deal for one show, two shows, three shows, whatever?'”

Meanwhile, an ITV source told the publication: “We hope he will be signing a new deal with ITV for the foreseeable future.”

Last year Simon confirmed that The X Factor would continue until at least 2022 and ITV reportedly offered him a deal to stay with the company until then.
