Phillip Schofield says he ‘feels great’ after getting his first Covid-19 jab

Phillip Schofield has revealed he “feels great” after getting his first Covid-19 jab.

The presenter took to his Instagram Stories on Tuesday after receiving the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine.

Appearing on This Morning, the 58-year-old told his co-host Holly Willoughby that it “didn’t hurt at all”.

“I was just thinking, we’ve sat here right from start of all this [pandemic]. Who would have thought a year later… it’s miraculous the way our science works.”

“Yesterday, I had my vaccine after talking about it for a year. Booked online with the NHS. It’s so easy – easiest thing you will do. So simple.”

“I picked the time, day, suggestion of when second vaccine will be. The team were absolutely delightful, didn’t hurt at all. I feel great, yeah.”

Holly added: “I remember that time we were saying the only way out was the vaccine. We were saying it could be 10 years’ development, never going to get out. Here we are a year – might even be under a year – and you’re done!”

Phillip said: “I had the Oxford [vaccine]. I’m waiting for the second one in 12 weeks’ time. My arm didn’t hurt, and it didn’t hurt going in. The whole experience was efficient, friendly – don’t be nervous!”

Holly admitted: “I can’t wait to have mine.”

Sharing a photo to his Instagram Stories after receiving the vaccine on Tuesday, Phillip said he was “painlessly jabbed up”.

He added: “That couldn’t have been any easier, more efficient or friendlier, thank you to Lisa and the team 🥰.”
