Liam Payne has insisted that his famous girlfriend Cheryl “made the first move” in their relationship.
The 24-year-old One Direction star and the 34-year-old former X Factor judge shocked fans when their romance was first reported in early 2016, and the couple have since welcomed their son Bear, who is 15-months-old.
Fans have long wondered how romance blossomed between the pair, and now Liam has revealed that Cheryl was the one who planted the seed.
Speaking on BBC Radio 1’s Breakfast Show, Liam was asked to reveal whether a series of “facts” about him were true or not.
Radio host Nick Grimshaw said, “Liam does not like a girl to make the first move,” and Liam replied, “I don’t know about that. I’m into it.”
He continued, “Chez kind of made the first move on me if I’m honest. She tickled my hair. I thought ‘Oh you’re into this,’ and now look. A few years later…”
The couple faced split rumours earlier this year, but it appears the pair are still going strong.
