Jordan North stepped in to replace another star on I’m A Celebrity – after they pulled out last minute

Jordan North wasn’t in the original line-up for this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.

According to The Sun, the BBC Radio 1 DJ stepped in to replace rapper Naughty Boy, after he pulled out at the last minute.

The music producer, whose real name is Shahid Khan, was set to enter the I’m A Celeb camp last month – but pulled out of the show due to a family illness.

A source said: “Shah was so excited to take part in the show as it would’ve been such a great platform for him to step out from behind the scenes a bit.”

“He’s an absolute megastar in music and has worked with all sorts of people from Emeli Sande, Sam Smith and Zayn Malik to Beyonce, but only a few people know what the man behind the hits is really like.”

“Shah is really humble and actually quite shy, but he has so many great anecdotes about the people he’s worked with,” the insider continued.

“Producers were gutted when he dropped out and hope he might be able to take part in future years, but they could never have foreseen the success Jordan then had.”

Jordan was the breakout star of this year’s series, and came second in the final last Friday night – which saw Giovanna Fletcher crowned the Queen of the Castle.
