Adam Collard reveals the REAL reason he returned to Love Island

Adam Collard has revealed the real reason he returned to Love Island.

The 26-year-old, who shot to fame on the 2018 series of Love Island, made his return to the villa as a bombshell this year in a shock twist.

The Geordie coupled up with Paige Thorne after Jacques O’Neill’s shock departure, and the pair reached the semi-final of the show.

However, Adam has since revealed that his quest to find love was not the main reason he returned to Love Island.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, the 26-year-old admitted he would love to have a “little piece” of Molly-Mae Hague’s million-pound success.

After being questioned about his decision to return to the villa, Adam said: “Right, I am just going to clear this up right now.”

“Paige is amazing and we are flying right now but everyone who goes on Love Island – it’s series eight now – people know what is coming off the back of it.”

Adam continued: “Everyone has seen Molly-Mae absolutely smash the hell out of life and to be fair she has smashed the hell out of her relationship [with Tommy Fury] as well but even if you can get a little piece of that.”

“If you have been in the villa for long enough, you know you are going to be pretty set up for life.”

“You are getting a few followers, if you have a business like me it’s going to help amplify that and that put you in a better situation and there’s going to be loads of really good opportunities afterwards.”

He admitted: “So yes, everyone comes on and says I am here to find love and that, yes you kind of are and obviously that is unreal but nobody is daft.”

Molly-Mae finished runner-up on the 2019 series of Love Island alongside her beau Tommy.

She has since launched her own self-tanning brand Filter by Molly-Mae, as well as her own collection with Beauty Works UK.

The 23-year-old also became the Creative Director of PrettyLittleThing in 2021.

Adam was known as a ladies man during his first stint on Love Island, which saw him couple up with Kendall Rae Knight, and quickly ditch her for Rosie.

Adam then began flirting with Megan Barton Hanson, before he famously dumped Rosie in favour of Zara McDermott.

Zara was dumped from the Island shortly before Casa Amor, and Adam decided to couple up with Daryl Sargeant – which he stated he would have done even if the 25-year-old had still been in the villa.

However, when he was eventually dumped from the villa, he rekindled his romance with Zara, and the couple dated for around eight months.
