Irish X Factor star Chris Leonard has been told by bosses not to sing – just days before the live shows.
The Meath singer – who previously revealed he has Crohn’s Disease – has been warned he needs to rest his vocal chords after a rehearsing overdrive.
Insiders said the 19-year-old should definitely be okay for his eight-piece boyband’s first performance, but Louis Walsh is taking no chances.

A source told Goss.ie: “Louis is taking absolutely no risks this week – he wants the public to be behind the band from the start.
“Realistically, knowing how well One Direction did, it is probably his best chance at winning the show – so Chris is a massive priority.
“He told him to take a break from singing and rest up to make sure his voice is up to scratch. Because the X Factor live shows are extremely tough.”

Yesterday Chris told fans: “Vocal rest for me and less than a week to The X Factor first live shows hopefully I’m better in time.”
On Saturday, the boyband’s name will finally be revealed – after the public was allowed to help decide.
