Graham Norton has revealed he regularly turns down offers to host his own American chat show.
The BBC presenter has been approached by TV bosses in the US who want to bring his sense of humour across the Atlantic.
But while the Cork native finds the demand for him “flattering”, he is in no rush to move his career to the States.
In demand: US TV bosses want Graham to host an American show
“America will remain a holiday destination rather than a place of work,” Graham said.
For now, the BBC host is perfectly happy with his massively successful booze-friendly chat show in Britain.
“I think Britain’s nice because we have words like ‘lush’. I would describe myself as a lush, whereas in America I would probably be an alcoholic,” he said.
