X Factor judge Louis Walsh has insisted his tears at judges houses were real – after suggestions he faked them.
The Mayo man said having to send home his new girlband left him sobbing and breaking down in tears.
He said: “You had to be there. I was genuinely crying. I wasn’t acting.

“The problem was there was five girls we put together and I had to say no to them and they were all crying in front of me.
“I had five girls in front of me crying and those girls wanted it so bad. I’m sorry for the girls, I really am, and I hope they stay together.”

The ex-Westlife boss also admitted he was worried his new boyband was too big with eight members – before he looked at Korea.
“In Korea they have all these big bands, there are 10, 12, 20 members in Korean pop,” he told the Star.
