Today FM presenter Louise Duffy has revealed she’s put her wedding to GAA star Paul Galvin on the backburner.
The Mayo host, 30, recently took over the station’s lunch time show – just at the same time as the Kerry player proposed in New York.
And Louise insists she “won’t be losing my life planning it” and is happy to wait for the wedding.
“It’s been a lovely time and then I started the show and it’s all been put on the backburner now,” she said.
No rush: Louise doesn’t want to wed straight away
“We’ll do it at some point. I won’t be losing my life planning it. I just want it to be a happy time with friends and family.
“I am excited about being married to Paul more than the day out.”
However Louise admitted it was a shock when Paul got down on one knee in the Big Apple.
“It was all a bit of a whirlwind. I got the job and then went away to New York for a couple of days and didn’t imagine that would happen. I promise I really didn’t,” she told the RTE Guide.
