Aidan Turner has returned to The Gaiety School of Acting to give a talk to its current crop of aspiring actors.
The Poldark star attended the famous theatre school, graduating from their full-time acting programme in 2004.
Since then, the Dublin native has hit the A-list with roles in blockbuster The Hobbit and most recently  TV drama Poldark.

Aidan’s career has gone from strength to strength since he landed the lead role in the hugely successful BBC series that regularly attracts 9 million viewers an episode.
Most recently, the TV star has signed on to star in Hollywood movie Vincent opposite Saoirse Ronan and Chris O’Dowd.
The 31-year-old is not the only famous face to have attended The Gaiety School – past students include Colin Farrell, Olivia Wilde and Aidan’s girlfriend Sarah Greene.
