Paul Mescal has won his first BAFTA TV Award for his role in Normal People.
The Irish actor was up against John Boyega, Josh O’Connor, Paapa Essiedu, Shaun Parkes, and Waleed Zuaiter in the Leading Actor category.
The Kildare native played Connell Waldron in the hit Irish drama, and thanked his co-star Daisy-Edgar Jones in his acceptance speech.
