Michael Flatley has been honoured as a UN Goodwill Ambassador.
The dance star’s show, Lord of The Dance: Dangerous Games, held a special performance for the UN Alliance of Civilizations, the Global Millennium Development Foundation and SWW Creative in New York on Friday.
The 57-year-old received the achievement for his humanitarian work from GMDF as well as World Association of Former United Nations Internes and Fellows.

According to the Mirror, the Chicago native revealed he was “honoured” to be hosting the special show.
This is the second accolade the famed dancer has received in recent weeks – with the stage star getting a New York street named after him.
Michael announced his retirement from the stage late this year – revealing his final performance will take place on January 3 on Broadway.
