Miriam O’Callaghan has already been tipped for the next presidential race – and now Marty Whelan has been asked to move into politics.
The Winning Streak presenter has admitted that he has been approached by political parties to make the move from TV world.
“I’ve been asked a few times if I would get into politics,” Marty said.

“A number of individuals from various parties have approached me in a chatty sort of way to suss me out,” he wrote in his autobiography That’s Life.
“I wasn’t for sussing. Much as I love to read about it, and the number of books I possess on politics is testament to that, I couldn’t imagine politics as a career for me.”
